Recovery Houses:
The social model philosophy of recovery is anchored in the bedrock of peer support. Recovery houses are founded on the philosophy of one recovering person helping another. This philosophy of support is not just limited to persons in recovery, but for all humans. We have always, as human beings, relied on one another to help us through difficult times and life challenges. Friendships, sisterhoods, and other forms of relationships, all exist to provide this support. The operational principle is that people who suffer from addiction are best suited to help others who share the same struggle, on a daily basis.

Living In Recovery Expectations:
We are dedicated to providing an environment which provides our clients the opportunity to transition away from a life revolving around addiction.  In addition to peer support, Living In Recovery provides structure, guidelines and rules which help support this transition.

Some examples include:
  • AA/NA Meeting attendance and sponsorship: 5 meetings/week and must have a sponsor.
  • Drug Testing: Random drug and alcohol testing can occur at any time.
  • Employment: Minimum of 30 hours/week obtained within 2 weeks of moving into our house.
  • Mandatory weekly house meetings.
  • Rent is collected weekly.
  • Curfew: 10pm weeknights and midnight on Friday and Saturday

All residents sign acknowledging their understanding and agreement to follow the House Rules
